While filming Stuck on You in 2003, Damon wandered into a Miami Beach bar where Luciana was working as a bartender. He hid behind the bar in order to escape the paparazzi and that’s where Luciana found him.

The couple got married in a small, private, New York's city hall ceremony in December 2005 and have three children together (Isabella, Gia Zavala, and Stella Zavala) and are also raising Luciana’s daughter from a former marriage, Alexia. 

In an interview on The Ellen Show, Damon gushed about how his wife is his soulmate. “I can’t imagine being without her“, he mused “I hit the jackpot with my wife.”

In 2013, the couple renewed their wedding vows in San Lucia in a sunset star-studded ceremony. The guests included Ben Affleck, his wife Jennifer Garner, Chelsea Clinton, Robert DeNiro & Grace Hightower, Emily Blunt & John Krasinski, Don Cheadle & Brigid Coulter, Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky, Stanley & Felicity Tucci, Casey Affleck & family and Terry Kinney.  Jimmy Kimmel officiated the ceremony.

Patrick Dempsey & Jillian Fink


Patrick Dempsey, met his wife Jillian Fink when he scheduled an appointment at her salon with her. Apparently the hair stylist didn't believe it was the real Dempsey until he walked in the door. 

Although both Fink and Dempsey were seeing other people at the time, Dempsey soon divorced then-wife Rochelle “Rocky” Parker.

His wife still cuts his hair and Dempsey still regularly makes appointments at her salon; he says it’s like their date night since it guarantees time together sans the kids.

Fink and Dempset have three children: Tallulah Fyfe, and the twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen.

Fink filed for divorce from Dempsey last January after 15 years of marriage. According to a source, the couple “went through months of extensive marriage counseling to save the relationship. Rumors that Dempsey had been unfaithful to Fink swirled at the time of the split. Another cause of friction in the marriage was Dempsey’s passion for race car driving, which often took away from family time. They have since then reconciled and called off the divorce.

Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston


Jeff fell in love with Susan while on location shooting Rancho Deluxe where she was working as a waitress/maid. At the time, she was sporting two black eyes and a broken nose (acquired from a recent car crash). "It took me all day to finally get up the nerve to ask her out. And she said no." Bridges says he knew after one week of shooting that he was in love and that Geston would be his wife. 

They have three children: Isabelle Annie, Jessica Lily, and Hayley Roselouise.

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer


While shooting the 2003 Best Picture nominee "Seabiscuit," Tobey Maguire met the daughter of Universal Studios chief Ronald Meyer.

Jennifer Meyer, who is a jewelry designer, and Maguire dated for four years before getting married in 2007 in a sunset ceremony in Kona, Hawaii. The two welcomed a baby Ruby in between their courtship and then a son, Otis after they were hitched. 

In October 2016, the couple decided to split after 9years of marriage. "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple," the couple stated. "As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship."

Nicolas Cage and Alice Kim


In 2004, Cage tied the knot with sushi waitress Alice Kim when she was just 19. This was Cage’s third marriage. After meeting Kim in a booking club, Cage began to frequent the sushi restaurant at which Kim worked. After just two months, Cage proposed to Kim. The couple tied the knot at a ranch in northern California in July. The pair have one 10-year-old son together, Kal-el Coppola Cage.

A few years back, Cage explained that his seemingly sporadic decision to wed Kim, who is 20 years his junior, was so she could travel with him to South Africa while he shot the 2005 film Lord of War.

Their relationship has reportedly experienced plenty of ups and downs, including domestic violence allegations against Cage.The couple, who have been married for 11 years, separated in January 2016.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman


Despite a number of high-profile beaus throughout her adult life, Hathaway ended up dating little-known actor Adam Shulman in November 2008. After dating for three years, the couple announced their engagement in 2011.

After a one-year engagement, the couple got married in an interfaith (Jewish-Roman Catholic) service at Big Sur, California in September 2012.

They are having a crisis because she wants him as a full-time dad,” claims a source. “He has always been hell-bent on pulling his own weight but Julia feels they are financially set.” But Moder is loath to give up his career in cinematography. “Danny does not feel like they have a true partnership,” claims a source. “It is her way or the highway. There has never been more strain on their marriage than there is now.”

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth


The couple got together after a buddy of Toth’s spent an evening drunkenly hitting on Witherspoon. Toth came to the rescue and apologized for his pal’s rudeness. Though it took some time to go public, this relationship began in 2009. The pair met back in 1992 during their first day of school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Despite dating throughout college and after graduation, Banks and Handelman did not get married until 2003. On July 5, 2003, Banks walked down the aisle at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, wearing an off-white silk-chiffon Christian Dior gown and a veil handmade by her mother. 

Banks once admitted that even after a 10-year relationship, she was surprised when Handelman proposed to her on that day in 2003. In a magazine interview in 2011, Banks said that Handelman felt like he owed her a surprise after being together for more than a decade.

She and her husband had their first child, Felix, who was born through a surrogate in March 2011. In November 2012, Banks announced the birth of another son, Magnus Mitchell, also by surrogate.

"Desperate Housewives" star Marcia Cross made the first move on now-husband Tom Mahoney. The actress spotted Mahoney, a stockbroker, at an L.A. flower shop in 2006.  "I was walking behind him at a flower shop, and I loved his voice," she told Health magazine in 2008. "I thought, 'Oh my God, you're stalking someone; get out of the store!' I asked the saleswoman, 'Who's that guy?' She said, 'Do you want to leave your number?' When asked by People Magazine about her beauty regimen, Cross said her husband was her best product. "I think that beauty comes from being happy and connected to the people we love, and his love makes me feel beautiful."

Cross underwent in vitro fertilization soon after their wedding and gave birth to fraternal twin daughters Eden and Savannah in February 2007.

When Eva Longoria met her future husband, she let him walk right by. “I was getting out of a bad relationship, and he was getting out of a relationship, so there wasn’t a connection,” the former Desperate Housewives actress told PEOPLE of being introduced to José “Pepe” Bastén, president of Televisa, the largest media company in Latin America, through a mutual friend in 2013. “So, we had a pleasant conversation but there was no real connection.”

The same friend re-introduced her to Bastén six months later. “I had no memory of meeting him the first time, but we had immediate sparks,” Longoria, said. The second time she met Bastén, she said, “It was like the cliché angels singing and there was a glow around him and it was immediate chemistry.”

Meryl Streep met her husband Don Gummer through her brother Harry, who was friends with Gummer. Gummer, was out of the country and Streep was staying at his apartment until he came back into town. Apparently, Gummer came back early and the two quickly fell in love.

Bana met Gleeson, a publicist for an Australian TV network and the daughter of Australia’s chief justice, in 1995.
